I loved the idea, it seemed great in theory
But in practice the extremely low rendering resolution of the N95 (probably 240x320) produced extremely aliased (jaggy) visuals on my Standard Def TV, I didn't even try it on my High Def TV
TV-OUT in itself worked great though, same speed and everything appeared on the TV at the same time as it appeared on the phone
Maybe it will work out better when Nokia implement a higher resolution display :D

Hey, great blog! I've subscribed to your Atom feed...
On the N95 TV-out feature, I did a little googling, because I *thought* it always output at 640x480. What I found at (link below) is that the phone's desktop UI is displayed at 320 x 240, but pictures and videos can display at up to 640 x 480, provided they are that resolution or higher.
So for gaming, I'd assume it's 320 x 240, but for pics and movies, you can go up to 640 x 480.
Does this sound right? I've used mine on my Standard def TV and a widescreen HDtv, and both worked and looked OK.

Thanks for the compliment. :)
I believe that the N95 outputs everything at 320x240 except for the pictures & videos like you have already said, which outputs at 640x480.
I wasn't terribly impressed by the picture quality, but I was sitting right in front of my TV to see how it would work so I probably noticed more than if I was sitting further away.
Or I could just be spoiled by my PS3's graphics ;)
